2013 BPLA August Break-in Alert

Please be aware that a resident on Big Pine Trail recently found that people had broken into her garage (which has sleeping quarters) and were apparently staying there; the people were chased out as soon as they were discovered. The next day, someone backed up onto her property and apparently tried to steal a pontoon boat and trailer that were parked in her driveway. The pontoon and trailer were locked so the thieves were unable to get it. Also, there were recently squatters who moved into an abandoned property on Big Pine Trail for a period of time and trashed it before leaving. The squatters are now gone and the property has since been cleaned up by the bank that owns it. All residents should be aware of any illegal activities that may be going on in our neighborhood and report them to the police immediately.
