1998 Dam Repair

In 1998, Big Pine Lake water level dropped ten feet due to an outdated rock dam. The river was and had been flowing around the rock dam for some period of time and with the dry summer months, the water level dropped. The DNR brought numerous trucks filled with huge boulders for the dam reconstruction.
